Biography:
Anakin Skywalker, a pivotal figure in the Star Wars saga, first appears in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace as a young slave on Tatooine.
Born without a father, Anakin possesses an extraordinarily high midi-chlorian count, marking him as "The Chosen One" prophesied to bring balance to the Force. He is taken to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant to be trained as a Jedi Knight.
